This can be run from Start Menu -> All apps -> Semata DataStore -> DataStore Designer

The Browser allows a DataStore to be examined and modified: Both its design, and the data it holds. The Designer provides a faster way of designing a DataStore.

The Browser allows you to:

• Create DataStores.
• Define ItemTypes, AttributeTypes and AssociationTypes.
• View and update the data.
• Export and Import DataStores.

Left pane

This pane presents the definitions as a Tree View.

Right clicking on the ItemType, AttributeType, or AssociationType nodes allows new types to be added.

Clicking on the node for a particular ItemType displays the items of that type.

Right clicking on the node for a particular ItemType allows that ItemType to be edited or deleted.

Right clicking on the node for a particular AttributeType allows that AttributeType to be edited or deleted.

Right clicking on the node for a particular AssociationType allows that AssociationType to be edited or deleted.

Centre pane

This pane displays the items of the selected type. You can create items, delete items and edit the values of the attributes.

Right hand pane

This displays the associations of the item selected in the centre pane. You can add and remove associations.
